Alana conlin, Elementary Art Teacher
I have been teaching art since 2008 and came to Westborough in 2012. My teaching philosophy centers around giving students a solid art foundation that not only connects with school subjects, but helps them engage with the world around them.
I am very privileged to be a part of the Westborough education system because the community is very supportive of the arts. I am a member of the elementary School Technology Committee and the Hastings Elementary Diversity Committee. Collaborating with fellow Westborough Art educators through an after school Art Share critique group, I continue to develop my own art in order to improve my teaching.

"I always loved art teachers because they were so bizarre. They were like the homeless people of the faculty -- all disheveled, wearing smocks, covered in paint, always digging through the garbage, looking for bottles and egg cartons and things." -Ted Alexandro, Comedian
